Abstract

Aim. To study the effect of intravenous infusions of the drug Sorbilact on the parameters of electrolytes in blood plasma in operated patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the early postoperative period. In 30 operated patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy, a clinical study of the effect of intravenous infusions of the multifunctional drug Sorbilact on the parameters of electrolytes in the blood plasma in the early postoperative period was conducted.

Materials and methods. Two groups of oncological patients were examined to detect the therapeutic effect of the infusion drug Sorbilact in operated gastric cancer patients for the correction of electrolytes in the blood plasma. The main group – 30 oncological patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the early postoperative period were intravenously administered the infusion drug Sorbilact at a dose of 600.0 ml per day at a rate of 30 drops per minute for 5 days. In the control group – 20 patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy, infusion therapy was carried out with Ringer-Locke solution at a dose of 800.0 ml per day as a means for comparison.

Results. Patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the first days of the early postoperative period in both groups showed a decrease in the concentration of potassium, sodium, and chlorides in the blood plasma. As a result of clinical studies, it was found that intravenous infusions of the drug Sorbilact in a dose of 600.0 ml per day immediately after operations for 5 days lead to a significant increase in the concentration of potassium, sodium, chlorides in blood plasma in operated patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the early postoperative period. The use of intravenous injections of the infusion drug Sorbilact helps to accelerate the normalization of the concentration of potassium, sodium, chlorides in blood plasma in operated patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in comparison with infusions of Ringer-Locke solution in the early postoperative period.

Conclusions. In oncological patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the first days of the early postoperative period, a decrease in the parameters of electrolytes in the blood plasma was found. Intravenous administration of the infusion drug Sorbilact in a dose of 600.0 ml per day immediately after operations for 5 days leads to a significant increase in the parameters of electrolytes – potassium, sodium, chlorides in blood plasma in operated patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy with splenectomy in the early postoperative period. The normalization of electrolytes in the blood plasma of operated patients is due to the presence of potassium, sodium, and chlorine ions in the Sorbilact infusion drug. The complex infusion drug Sorbilact of multifunctional action is recommended for wide medical use in cancer patients after gastrectomy with splenectomy, especially in the early postoperative period.

Keywords: patients with stomach cancer, gastrectomy with splenectomy, infusion drug Sorbilact, indicators of electrolytes in blood plasma.
